Hi

From the datasheet, the output of SN74ALVC244 is limited by VCC.

Is this relative with the internal ESD diode?

Do we have similar buffer but no such limitation for output terminal?

    Yes, ALVC family devices have ESD protection diodes from the outputs to VCC.

    LVC or LVT families allow voltages higher than VCC, but only when the outputs are in the high-impedance state. See SN74LVC244A or SN74LVT244B.
