Hello,

I would like to ask for your support please regarding to the TXB0108PWR…

I would like to know:

Does the Auto-Direction Sensing works on each one of the 8 bits separately? (e.g. 3 bits in one directions and 5 bits in the other direction)

Does the Auto-Direction Sensing always works along the operation? Such as alternative direction switching every cycle or it works only after the power up and keeps in that direction for good?

I will be happy to have immediate answer…

All channels are independent.

The automatic direction sensing is not a separate component, but a consequence of the analog properties of the internal circuit (shown in the datasheet). The TXB has output drivers that are always active in both directions, but with a rather high impedance so that other devices can easily override the voltage level. Any pin that is not currently being driven externally is a (weak) output.
