TXB0304: Question on Additional Care-about Vcc <= Vccb

Part Number: TXB0304

Hello,

I was referring to the following FAQ E2E post on the table about the auto direction sensing translation devices and want to get some clarification on one of the bulletin.

Here is the E2E post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/logic/f/151/t/719537

I want to get a better understanding on the Additional care-about for the TXB devices where it say Vcc <= Vccb.  Does Vcc refer to Vcca as the OE pin is tied to Vcca?

Thanks for the help and best regards,

Jerry

  • Hi Jerry,
Yes, that should say "Vcca <= Vccb" on the slide. I'll ask our translation expert to take a look in the morning.
  • Hi Jerry,

I thank you for referring to the FAQs and i hope that it has been helpful to you.
Yes, the TXB010x series require the Vcca to be less than or equal to Vccb. I will update this FAQ.
however, for the question you have here, the TXB0304 device doesn't come with this restriction. Both rails are fully configurable from 0.9 to 3.6V independent of the each other.
Let me know if you need anything else.
