I'm confused -- the CD4019B is a 16-pin device. Where did you find information about a 14-pin variant?

in the datasheet download from TI，page 15，MECHANICAL DATA ，14-PINS SHOWN. I have a 14-pin CD4019B now, but datasheet descripts 16-pin, i am confused about the 14-pin terminal diagram. thanks

Hey Jauwer,

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner - I have been out sick for a few days.

I understand part of your confusion:

This type of mechanical drawing is used to describe 14, 16, 20, and 24 pin variants of the NS (R-PDSO-G) package, with the example drawing shown only having 14 pins. This drawing is the same for _all_ TI devices that use this package, and it does not imply that this device has different pin counts.

The Package Option Addendum page of the datasheet lists every variant of the device that is publicly available for purchase:

Note that every option has 16 pins. There is no 14 pin variant available.

But I have a 14-pin CD4019B，as shown in the following picture. I can not find its datasheeet.

The one thing I can tell you for certain is that part is _not_ a TI CD4019B. All of our CD4019B's have 16 pins and will have a full lot trace code on the top, which this one does not.

Can you provide details of where you got it from? Are you trying to reverse engineer some piece of hardware?

Hi Jauwer,
As I said in my previous message, the device given does not have a full TI lot trace code, so I cannot determine what it is.

It is possible that it is not a part manufactured by TI - unless you were the one that bought the parts, there's really no way to know.
