TXS0108E-Q1: Malfunction due to noise

Part Number: TXS0108E-Q1

Hi All

Is there a possibility of large current flowing when the output voltage falls below the threshold due to the influence of noise ?

Is there a countermeasure if it happens ?

  • Hi Koji,

I assume you are talking about a scenario when your output voltage goes below -0.5 V (correct me if im wrong). In this scenario, yes a large amount of current can flow through into the device. However, if you look below the abs max table you will see a note that states that output voltage limits can be exceeded if the output clamp current (Iok) isn't violated. Adding a series resistor will be an easy way to limit this current.
