Hi All

DataSheet has the following description.

PCB signal trace-lengths should be kept short enough such that the round trip delay of any reflection is less than the one-shot duration.

What kind of malfunction will be concerned if the delay due to round-trip reflection is over one shot time (about 30 ns)?

Koji-san,

In general, keeping the trace lengths short reduces the capacitive loading on the device.In addition, when the reflection encounters a high impedance, will lead to oscillations and possibly accidently triggering the oneshot of the input side. When it encounters low impedance, the reflection is sunk not causing ringing.
