TXB0106: Correct Solution for Quad SPI application

Part Number: TXB0106
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A27518E, , LSF0108, TXB0104, SN74AVC4T774

Dear Team,

My customer would like to find a 3.3V to 1.8V level shift + 2:1 switch solution for Quad SPI application (6 channels).

But it seems like we don't have such integrated solution.

So they would like to know if they can use TXB0106 + TS3A27518E or not.

And I also see the previous E2E question which used LSF0108. May I know which is more suitable for Quad SPI?

Please help to advise. Thank you.

  • Hi Jim,

The Quad SPI interface is different from what you have described here. This is the regular SPI with multiplexing.
The Quad SPI interface is 6 channels, will have bidirectional data and hence would require TXB0106(auto bidirectional device).
For the diagram shown above, TXB0104 or SN74AVC4T774 would work.
  • Dear ShreyasRao,

Sorry, above figure is not a good example.
Quad SPI interface (6 channels) is what my customer needs.
So I will recommend them to use TXB0106 + TS3A27518E.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Jim
