LM567C: Time-Delay of The Output Pin

Part Number: LM567C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMC567

Hi,

I'm using LM567C as a Tone Decoder in an application. The schematic is below, center frequency is set to 100KHz,Bandwidth is 14% .The input is 700mV 100KHz sinusoidal signal. The problem is time-delay can be long between input signal and  output. most of the time, the device output go to low state 20us-100us after input signal is stable, but time-delay can be 300us more sometimes.

Another question : There is a chat in datasheet(Figure 9. Greatest Number of Cycles Before Output) shows the relationship between bandwidth and cycle before output. One of the graph is bandwidth limited by external resistor(minimum C2). While I don't understand how external resistor limited bandwidth.

if time-delay between input and output will become short with LMC567?

    Thank you.

  • Unfortunately LMC567 datasheet does not have a specification on the number of cycles before the output. The time delay may be shorter, as LMC567 has double the oscillator frequency. I am searching internally for additional data to confirm or deny this.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
