What exactly do you mean with "invalid"?

If you do not care what the output is in this case, you can use 0, for Y = A (a buffer like SN74xxx1G34), or 1, for Y = A OR B (SN74xxx1G32).

Hi Patrick,

If "invalid" means that you don't care what the output is, then this can be done with an OR gate.
