SN74LVC1T45: Please introduce a device that converts 100 MHz signal level from +5 V to +3.3 V.

Part Number: SN74LVC1T45
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV7219, SN74LVC1G34
Hi,
I am trying to use SN74LVC1T45 to convert the 100MHz + 5V output signal from LMV7219 from + 5V to + 3.3V.

Although the data sheet states that it can be used at 210 Mbps when converting to +3.3 V, it can not be judged because the conversion source voltage is not described.

Is it possible to use up to 210Mbps with conversion from + 5V to + 3.3V?

In addition, SN74LVC1G34 is under consideration as other devices, but can it be used?

The SN74LVC1T45 and SN74LVC1G34 data sheets can not be judged because they only have propagation delay information.

Please introduce a device that converts 100 MHz signal level from +5 V to +3.3 V.
  • Hello and welcome to the forums!

The output voltage is dominant in a logic voltage conversion -- ie the output driver strength directly controls the speed of the device. This is because the output load of the device is several orders of magnitude larger than any internal load between the stages of the device. The datasheet is correct.

Yes, the SN74LVC1G34 could also be used for this application. It has over-voltage tolerant inputs, so a 3.3V supply will result in a down-conversion from 5V to 3.3V.

The entire LVC family can operate at 100MHz with a 3.3V supply and ~15pF load.
