SN74LVC1G74: SN74LVC1G74: SN74LVC1G74DQE Thermal Information

Part Number: SN74LVC1G74
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AUP1G07, SN74LVC1G125, , SN74LVC1G126, SN74LVC2G04, PCA9534

I submitted 7 service requests that were combined into Case Number CS0008361.  The response provided links to the service requests for the proposed resolutions.  When I go to the response links see ticsc.service-now.com/csm, I only found the answer to two of my requests as shown in the table below.  Please let me know where I can find the thermal data for the other 5 parts.  Thanks

  • Hi Jerry,
The customer service system and the E2E (Engineer to Engineer support forums) are not connected.

I see that you want to get thermal metrics for 5 devices from my group (standard logic):
    SN74LVC1G125 - DSF
    SN74LVC1G74 - DQE
    SN74LVC1G126 - DSF
    SN74LVC2G04 - YZP
    SN74AUP1G07 --- no package provided.

All 5 of these devices have thermal metrics available in the datasheet. Exactly which specs are you looking for?
  • For part number SN74LVC1G125DSF, I need the following information:  maximum thermal design power, operating free-air temperature range (degrees C), maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, junction-to-case thermal resistance (Theta JC), junction-to-board thermal resistance (Theta JB), junction-to-ambient thermal resistance (Theta JA), and the package mechanical drawing.

For part number SN74LVC1G74DQER, I need the following information:  maximum thermal design power, maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, junction-to-case thermal resistance (Theta JC), and junction-to-board thermal resistance (Theta JB).

For part number SN65MLVD206D, I need the following information:  maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, junction-to-case thermal resistance (Theta JC), junction-to-board thermal resistance (Theta JB), and junction-to-ambient thermal resistance (Theta JA).

For part number SN74LVC1G126DSFR, I need the following information:  maximum thermal design power, maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, junction-to-case thermal resistance (Theta JC), junction-to-board thermal resistance (Theta JB), junction-to-ambient thermal resistance (Theta JA), and the package mechanical drawing.

For part number SN74LVC2G04YZPR, I need the following information:  maximum thermal design power, maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, junction-to-case thermal resistance (Theta JC), and junction-to-board thermal resistance (Theta JB).

For part number PCA9534ARGTR, I need the following information:  maximum thermal design power, maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, junction-to-case thermal resistance (Theta JC), junction-to-board thermal resistance (Theta JB), and junction-to-ambient thermal resistance (Theta JA).

For part number SN74AUP1G07DSFR, I need the following information:  maximum thermal design power, maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) operating and absolute, and the package mechanical drawing.

  • I searched through the component datasheets for the details that I need; however, I was not able to find the data that I requested via the service requests.
  • Hey Jerry,

Thanks for the details. I'll submit the parts from my group for thermal requests to get the thermal resistances. The requests take up to 2 weeks to return.

For TJmax, please see this FAQ thread:

For maximum power dissipation, please see this FAQ thread:

I would recommend opening a new E2E post for each part I didn't list above (SN65MLVD206D and PCA9534), since my group doesn't handle them. The E2E system will route the request to the right applications engineer to help you out. E2E works by using the part number you enter when you start a post to determine who will help out.

  • Hey Jerry,

I went through our thermal requests and found these ones already available in the system:
