Is the SN74AVC2T245 (and all other parts in the SN74AVC family) compatible with both push-pull and open-drain IOs? Or only push-pull? I did not see anything in the datasheet about it, but the figure on page 5 of application note SCEA030B (Voltage Translation Between 3.3-V, 2.5-V, 1.8-V, and 1.5-V Logic Standards) indicates that this can only be used with push-pull IOs so I am unsure.
