PCIe PERST# FAN OUT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G17, SN74AHC541, SN74AHC125

HI,

I would like to know what items can use for PCIe perst# 4 fan out and 8 fan out

B&R

perry

  • PERST is defined as a 3.3 V logic signal.

The fan-out depends on how large the loads actually are. Do you have four/eight devices on one board, or four/eight PCIe connectors?

Anyway, for normal loads, it should be enough to use a single buffer with high drive strenghth, such as the SN74LVC1G17.

  • hi,

The following drawing is PCIe PERST# Diagram for 4 fan out & 8 fan out

I need to know which IC is suitable to design in circuit .

  • I do not know how large the (capacitive) load of the Mini-SAS HD connectors/cables is. But if you want separate drivers for every pin, use quad/octal buffers, e.g., SN74AHC125 and SN74AHC541.
