LM567C: wrong equation to calculate F(0)

Part Number: LM567C

I looked for information on the web for LM567 and came up with National semiconductor. It had an equation for f of f~=1/(1.1rc). for f=6000, c=0.01uf  it gave r=15.1515e3 .  The TI data sheet gave f~=1.1/(rc). for 6Khz c=0.01uf r=18.333e3 I do not have the parts to check it out but which is correct?

  • Hi Alvin,

Thanks for pointing it out. I believe the equation f~=1/(1.1rc) is correct but I do not have a way to verify it.

It appears to have been a typo error from reformatting the datasheet. I will make a note that this may need to updated in the next revision. If you end up testing the center frequency, I would be interested in your results.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
