TXS0108E: What's max frequency our device can support?

Hello,

According to the datasheet, for push-pull applications, the TXS0108 can support up to 60 Mbps for the supplies you are operating at. 60 Mbps is equivalent to 30 MHz frequency. So if you are using your clock at 50 MHz you are pushing the limits of the device. However, if you could send me a scope shot of this distortion and a picture of your schematic, I could suggest something that might fix your issue.

Hi,

It seems like your load might be too much for the translator at such high speeds.

Since you are using a clk to drive an FPGA, is there a reason you are using an auto bidirectional translator? Why not use something like the SN74AXC8T245? I don't know what signals you are translating on the  other channels but if they are not bidirectional, then maybe you can consider something else.

The TXS devices have no drive. The TXB family has more drive but I am unclear on what you are looking for. Please let me know if your signals are actually bidirectional. I think the SN74AXC8T245 I recommended before might be a good solution for you.
