I am a little confusing about the how can I drive the input of SN74LVC125A buffer. Can I drive the input pins of SN74LVC125A through an open-collector output?

CMOS inputs require a defined high-level voltage, so you have to add a pull-up resistor to the open-collector output.

Sure. I will put a 10k pull-up to my open-collector output for driving the input pins of buffer.
