SN74AXC8T245: power supply sequence

Part Number: SN74AXC8T245
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AVC8T245

Hi Team,

Would you advise below 2 questions from my customer?

1
I am considering the use of
SN74AXC8T245
SN74AVC8T245

Are there any restrictions on the power supply sequence between VCCA and VCCB?
Also, is there a restriction that the OE pin must be connected to VCCA with a resistor at start-up?
We want to use it with a simple circuit configuration as much as possible.

  2
The operating voltage lower limit of SN74AVC8T245 is described as 1.2 V.
If you want to use it with a 1.2 V power supply, is there no margin for this voltage value?
Example: Available up to 1.15 V, etc.
Thanks
Best regards,
Shidara
  • Hi Shidara,

I recommend using the SN74AXC8T245 out of these two devices. It has no power supply sequencing limitations. It isn't required to have a pull-up tied to the OE pin. It works down to 0.65 V so you won't have any issues with supplying it at 1.2 V.
