TXS0102: What will happen with I2C if loosing power on VCCA or VCCB

Part Number: TXS0102

Hi,

What is happening with VCCA side if VCCB is OFF (not present) ? I assume that the I2C bus is still working for I2C devices on VCCA side, and not get stucked.

  • Hi Jorgen,

When you say VCCA or VCCB is "OFF" I am assuming 0V.

When either of the supplies on this device is at 0V, the inputs of the device go into high impedance. That means the device will not drive a high or low on the I2C lines. There is however some minute leakage current that flows into the device even in high impedance which is defined by the Ioff spec in the datasheet.

    Thanks!
