Logic buffer to drive 100pF line

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G126

Team,

my customer needs a logic buffer (single gate) to drive the SDO line of an SPI connection. The SDO line has 100pF capacity (max).
The logic buffer needs to be able to drive this line.

How can I search for that capability?
The buffers I looked at so far can only drive 15 or 50pF.

Is there a solution at TI?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

We don't specify load capacity by pF but by the current drive and voltages required. The 15pF and 50pF specs you see in the datasheet you see is because that is the load we test our devices at and can guarantee the values in the datasheet at those loads. With a 100pF the performance of the device will be weaker(slower rise and fall times) due to the large load however the device can still work. I can recommend the SN74LVC1G126 for example, it has a strong output current drive(IOH & IOL).

    Thanks!
