TXS0104E: Better level translator for SPI interface

Part Number: TXS0104E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0104, SN74AXC4T774

Hi,

Can you suggest which is the better level translator for SPI interface. Volatge translation from 1.8 to 3.3V.

TXS0104E is better or TXB0104.

  • That depends. If you have short traces and no pull-up/-down resistors, you can use the TXB. If the speed and the load capacitance are not too large, and the integrated pull-up resistors are OK, you can use the TXS.

In general, the best solution for SPI is a translator with proper buffers, i.e., the SN74AXC4T774.
