SN74AVC4T774: IBIS model - No “Series Pin Mapping” and “Series model”

Part Number: SN74AVC4T774
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC4T774

Hello E2E,

Our customer is asking IBIS model of SN74AVC4T774.

We download IBIS model from ti.com.

Customer feedback that there are no “Series Pin Mapping” and “Series model” in IBIS model.

Could you please guide how to fix the issue?

BR,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

I am unclear on what you mean by series pin mapping. However the IBIS model is only made for testing signal integrity on the input and output buffers. There is no "logic" inside the model to connect the inputs to the outputs. So you cannot apply an input signal to the model and measure the output. If you would like a behavioral model of the device, I can look to see if I can have one made. Please allow me up to a week to have that model ready for you.

Here is some more information on the IBIS models:

    Thanks!

  • Hi Karan:

Yes, we need the model with "logic" inside the model to connect the inputs to the outputs. We apply an input signal to the model and measure the output. But a week is very long.
The customer asked us to complete the simulation as soon as possible.
Can you provide any ibis model (with the same functionality as "SN74AVC4T774") for our SI?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards

    Jason

  • Hi Jason,

Can I recommend switching the customer over to our new SN74AXC4T774. It provides all the same features as the AVC device but also has glitch free power up, and a lower supply range.

I also have the Tina Spice model for this attached. You can use the AXC spice model to do the same functionality tests as the AVC device since their behavior is the same.

IBIS models cannot be created to have logic functionality. They are not meant to do this.
