SN74LVC4245A: Connection of DIR and OE pin

Part Number: SN74LVC4245A

Hi team,

My customer would like to connect the DIR and /OE pin to 3.3V CMOS output from programmable logic device.

Is there any issue of this connection? Please let me know if this cause any issue.

From the datasheet, should the customer connect /OE pin to 5V with pull up resistor for proper power up sequence?

Regards,

Yoshi

  • The DIR and OE pins must be connected to an output that is supplied by a voltage that is the same as VCCA, or higher.

If you do not care about the state of the I/Os during power up, then you do not need a pull-up resistor.
