For TXB0104-Q1, we only need to use 3 of the input/output pin, how should we deal with the unused input/output pin? Can we just pull it down to GND directly?

[FAQ] What should be done with unused I/O pins of the level translator devices? recommends to tie them to GND through at least 100 kΩ, but I wonder why. Either connecting them directly to GND or leaving them open should not have any adverse effects.
Hi,
It is recommended to pull down to GND to avoid triggering the one shot circuitry so that there is not ringing on the lines. A weak pulldown is recommended as to avoid large currents on the outputs in case the one shot is triggered.
