SM28VLT32-HT: Rewrite memory location without erase

Part Number: SM28VLT32-HT

I see the SM28VLT32-HT cannot be erased above 125C but can new data be stored at an address location that already contains data?

  • The program current is specified for up to 210 °C. So it is possible to program bits, i.e., to change them from 1 to 0.

  • David,

It is possible to "reprogram" an already programmed address.  However, it is impossible to change a 0 to a 1.   This can only happen from the erase process.  Programming can only change a 1 to a 0.

An an error will be generated if an attempt is made to change a 0 to a 1.

Bit 2 of the quick status register will get set, indicating an "Invalid Data" error.
