SN74LVC8T245: OE pin connection

Part Number: SN74LVC8T245

Hi,

Is it recommended to pull up the OE pin to Vcc?
Are there any concerns about power up and power down by connecting the OE pin to GND?

Best regards,
Yuto Sakai

  • Hi Yuto Sakai,

Yes, you have to pull up to Vcc if you want to disable your device. If you require the device to be powered up as high-impedance then it is recommended to pullup to Vcc with a weak pullup resistor and once device is operational to drive the pin low with an external driver. If this condition is not required and the enable pin is not required, you can just tie it directly to GND.

    Thanks!
