Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC8T245, SN74AXC4T774,
Can I use this translator for Ethernet phy and FPGA for Phy side band signals like ETH_COL,ETH_CRS,RX_ER,TX_ER,RX_CTL_DV,TX_CTL and NRESET.
Please suggest.

Hi,
I am not sure on your application. What frequency and voltage are you using? Are your signals unidirectional or bidirectionals?
Does this thread help you out?
Thanks!

HI Karan,
Thanks for your response.
The side band signals for PHY I used for translators are unidirectional and only control signals.
No clock signal is there
Voltage is 1.8V fpga to 3.3VPhy
Hi,
Then I would also recommend using a device like the SN74AXC8T245 or SN74AXC4T774 since it allows for frequencies up to 100MHz for those voltages.
We have a whole variety of translators available that you can choose for based on your requirements.

Hi Karan,
Is there any problem if im using TXS0108E as Im using only for side band signals like reset and failure indication types
Hi,
The TXS has no output drive strength and works at lower frequencies than the AXC device. This is why I suggested it. You can use the TXS device as long as you are not trying to do high frequencies and driving a device that requires a large sink or source current. Please also make sure to reduce any transmission line effects as they might cause false direction change triggers on the device. The TXS devices can a bit tricky to use so we always recommend away from using them when we have another part that can perform the function better.
Thanks!
