LSF0108: Maximum performance of LSF0108

Part Number: LSF0108
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AUC17, SN74AUC244

To whom it may concern,

I need to transfer group of 3.3V CMOS signals down-to 1.8V uni-direction.

The clock rate of those signals is 170MHz.

Is that possible for LSF0108 to transfer signals at 170MHz?  If not, is there any other part from TI can do it?

Thanks

Serm

  • The LSF needs very strong pull-up resistors for high frequencies, and 170 MHz is too much even then.

But for unidirectional downtranslation, you can just use a buffer with overvoltage-tolerant inputs running from the lower supply. For 170 MHz at 1.8 V, you need the AUC family, e.g., SN74AUC17 (6 channels) or SN74AUC244 (8 channels).
