Team, 

My customer has the following question: 

We are looking into using TI SN74ALVC164245 part. Datasheet Section 6.8 Switching Characteristics indicated the ten/tdis from OE_F to A/B but does not have the data for Directional control. 

Would you please check and let me know how much delay for the transceiver to switch direction?

is it the same as the OE_F control?

    Hi Aaron,

    You could also consider using the SN74LVC16T245 device for this application which has fully configurable dual supply rails unlike the ALVC device.

    DIR to A (or DIR to B) is the worst case delay which will include the OE to A( or OE to B) [the output will be disabled and then enabled] plus the prop delay from B to A ( or A to B).
