Burned smd, someone recognize this number?

Hello fellows,  I'm in need of  you expertise , got this 14 pin smd ic physically burned  with a number barely recognizable and I'm not able to get any info about it, maybe is not a part number but a serial/production number.

I can reed  from the top part  the logo ti and number 41A38GK but not sure about 4 might be i or l or j, the lower part is  gone. Got photo but can't find the way to upload it.

I would appreciate any help/ orientation.

It's used  on FWD falling weight deflectometer compact15 control unit.

Thanks

  • The part number would have been below that line. There are hundreds of possible parts.

Ask Dynatest for a schematic, or reverse engineer the circuit around this part to determine its function.

  • Hello Guillermo,

The reply from Clemens, thank you Clemens, is very accurate.
Without more information on the date code or part number, the identity of the device cannot be determined.

A schematic would be the most reliable method for determining what this IC is.

However, whatever let the smoke out of this IC probably damaged other things on the assembly.

  • Thank you very much Clemens , it helps a lot knowing is not a part number at all.

I´ll do exactly as you say, firt dynatest then reverse engineering.

    Appreciate your time and knowledge.

  • Hello Ed,

It did damaged some other components but not as bad as it seems.. it´s a shame the part can´t be identify.

I´ll try to get the schematics.

Thanks a lot for taking your time to help me

(I know is time to push the green button but If you don´t mind i would like to leave this question open for a few days just ..in case..blue moon..)

    Nice meeting you guys
