SN74LVTH16244A: SN74LVTH16244ADGG & SN74LVTH16244ADGGR Temperature difference

Part Number: SN74LVTH16244A

Hello Guys,

Good day. One of our customer have a few inquiries with regards to SN74LVTH16244ADGG and SN74LVTH16244ADGGR.
Aside from the suffix ‘R’ which is just a package carrier indicator, they want to know why the SN74LVTH16244ADGG has a temperature range of -40 to +85C while the SN74LVTH16244ADGGR is -40 to +125C ?

Revision history on the datasheet says that there has been an update on the operating temperature range. They typically received PCN’s when there are changes to parts and also wants to know if there are changes to the die.
If there is a need to take the conversation offline, just let me know guys, I will send a separate email.

Thanks for the confirmation!

  • Hi Art,

Where are you getting the two temp ranges from? Both parts are operable from -40 to 125C.

The datasheet has specs for both -40 to 85C as well as -40 to 125C depending which temp range you plan to use the part in.

Like you mentioned R is just an indicator of how the device is delivered to the customer. It will not impact the operating temperature range of the part.

    Thanks!
