LSF0108: When LSF0108 is used between Intel CPU and CPLD/FPGA

Part Number: LSF0108

Hi.

I used LPC I/F between INTEL CPU and CPLD/FPGA IOs.

LPC signals of INTEL CPU are 3.3V IO, but CPLD/FPGA IOs are 1.8V IO.

So I used LSF0108 for LPC I/F.

I have a question..

Is it needed Pull-up resistors at INTEL CPU side?

I hope your help... Thanks

  • You always need pull-up resistors for open-drain signals, and when an LSF pin is an output (at least some of them time).

You do not need a pull-up resistor at an LSF pin if this pin is always an input and if the device driving it uses a push/pull output.
