Dear team,

SN74LVC8T245 is a dual-power supply IC, so customer wonder if only add power supply 3.3V to VCCA, VCCB without power supply, will the signal goes well from A to B? If works, does this will hurt the IC?

Hi Sammi,

No, this configuration will not work. Both supplies will need to be powered in order for translation from A to B. If one of the supply pins is tied to ground, all pins enter a high impedance state.
