Hi,
Is it necessary to pull the OE pin to VCCA during power on? The datasheet says "To ensure the high-impedance state of the level shifter I/Os during power up or power down, OE should be tied to VCCA through a pullup resistor." However, other posts here suggest that it isn't necessary (e.g. see answer to https://e2e.ti.com/support/logic/f/151/p/816559/3022045?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=SN74AXC8T245%252520OE#3022045).
This App Report also seems to suggest that the internal glitch supression circuitry should prevent any start-up glitches: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/scea058a/scea058a.pdf?&ts=1589472875596
We were planning to leave OE tied directly to GND (i.e. always enabled). Is there a risk of glitches or unexpected outputs if we don't pull up OE to VCCA during power on? Or is the recommendation in the datasheet just saying that you only need to pull-up OE if you want high-z outputs during start-up?
Also, is there any difference in that requirement between the AXC and AXCH series?
Thanks,
Jadon
