SN74LVC245A: Can we connect unused pin of An and Bn to Vcc or GND directly?

Hi Experts,

Unused pin must be held at Vcc or Gnd. Does this mean that we must pull up / down? Can we connect unused pin to Vcc or GND directly?

CMOS inputs can be connected directly to V_CC or GND. You need pull-up/-downs only if you want to be able to override the voltage level.
