Hi All,

A large customer of mine is looking for a way to convert the IBIS model for the SN74LVC374 into a SPICE model and then import it into TINA.

The customer has found an IBIS to SPICE converter online that converts the IBIS file to a .lib file; when the customer tries to import the .lib file into TINA using the “New Macro Wizard” tool several errors pop up.

Any help here would be greatly be appreciated.

An IBIS model contains only the behaviour of the I/O pins, but not that of the actual logic.

To get a SPICE model of the I/Os, it would be a better idea to use the model of some other device in the same family, e.g., SN74LVC08A.

Hi Clemens,

Thanks you for your answer, your idea of using a single version of the DFF is a good starting point (I think you have a typo; should 80 not 08.

However, the customer would still like to convert the IBIS model for the SN74LVC374 into a SPICE model, there are free tools to do this, then import into TINA.

Hi Joe,

Your customer will not be able to convert the IBIS into a spice model. If you're looking to accurately model how the DFF will function in TINA-TI, I should be able to create a Spice model for you.
