TXB0102: What is A1/A2 state when VCCB and EN is floating?

Part Number: TXB0102
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0102

Hello E2E,

What is the output state or impedance at A side when VCCB and OE is floating but VCCA has bias voltage?

Sincerely,

Jason

  • The datasheet says:

The TXB0102 device has circuitry that disables all output ports when either VCC is switched off (VCCA/B = 0 V).

But when VCCB is floating, then C4296 might have enough remaining charge so that there is a voltage high enough to power the device.

Please note that the TXB I/Os do not work with pull-up resistors and cannot be used for I²C/SMBUS. The TXS0102 would work in this situation.

  • Hello Ladisch,

    Thanks for your reply.

Assume we change to TXS0102 at the same configuration, what if Vccb is floating and fully discharge, what is the A side pins impedance while VCCA is still biasing?

    Sincerely,

    Jason

  • The TXS0102 datasheet says:

VCC Isolation Feature: If Either VCC Input Is at GND, Both Ports Are in the High-Impedance State
