SN74AXC4T245: Not using Channel 1

Part Number: SN74AXC4T245

I know if there are unused inputs, we should leave them floating.  But what about unused channel? We currently don't use channel 1 (1A1, 1A2, 1B1, 1B2).

Should I tie OE high to disable it or is okay to tie low?  I guess do you actually save some power disabling it and/or better for noise immunity?

  • CMOS devices increase their power usage only when they are actually switching. Noise immunity should not be affected.

Do whatever is more convenient. If you want to do any debugging or testing, having two active channels to play with might be useful.
