SN74LVC3G07-Q1: PCB designed with Input and Output flipped. Requesting help finding an option to replace on current PCB.

Part Number: SN74LVC3G07-Q1

Hello, I accidentally used a downloaded footprint which resulted in the Input and Output for SN74LVC3G07-Q1 to be flipped. I am hoping that someone can please help me find a similar package offering that has the input and output reversed. The footprint is VSSOP-DCU.

Currently it has pints 1, 3 and 6 as inputs. The respective outputs are pins 7, 5 and 2.

I am hoping to find a device that retains pin 8 as Vcc, pin 4 as GND, but has input pins for 7, 5 and 2. And the output pins to be 1, 3 and 6.

I am relatively new to PCB/hardware design. So if you could even suggest a method to find such a solution on my own, I would greatly appreciate it. The goal here is to rework the current PCB and of course address this error in any future new designs.

  • A triple buffer is somewhat unusual to begin with. There is no device with the footprint you want.

You could solder the chips by hand dead-bug style with bodge wires, or create an adapter PCB.

  • Thank you for the advice. We have some 27 AWG wire that we use for solenoids. I will try with that. I also have silicone adhesive on the way (to secure everything) and 30 AWG wire to try if the 27 AWG doesn't work.

The triple buffer being used to convert three hall effect sensor outputs from 5V to 3.3V compatible logic. The board itself is a gate driver for BLDC motors.
