TXS0108E: TXS0108E LSF0108 hot swap question

Part Number: TXS0108E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LSF0108,

According to the document SCEA026, hot plugging is defined as 4 categories. Chips with OE signals generally support Level 2 levels.
At present, the customer sends the signal from the backplane to the plug-in card through level conversion. The plug-in card needs to be hot-swapped, and the OE of the chip TXS0108E cannot be closed, and it needs to be always open. Ioff parameters are not seen in TXS0108 and LSF0108, please help Confirm whether it can be used directly. Is it still Level2 when used in this way?

  • Hey Seasat,

Firstly I want to clear up confusion. Having an OE pin doesn't really indicate level 2. Not sure what you mean by whether the OE is open or closed so I will need clarification on the Logic level during those cases.

Are you needing level shifting for this application? These wouldn't really be the devices I would suggest for this, so more info on the application and the required parameters will help me look into other potential solutions.
