LSF0204: VrefB recommended 1V higher than VrefA

Part Number: LSF0204

Hello team,

My customer is using LSF0204 in their design and had a couple of questions:

  1. Page 14 says   “Also Vref_B is recommended to be at 1.0 V higher than Vref_A for best signal integrity” .  Is this an issue? I am using 1.8V and 2.5V.
  2. I am not sure I am using correct termination.  I am using MDIO, MDC, MARWELL Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver to a FPGA. Any Idea/recommendation please?  I picked up the below resistors from the table on page 15. Are they correct?   Please see below.

Thank you in advance for your support!

  • Hi Errol,

I would highly recommend that anyone who's trying to design with an LSF translator first watch these short videos:

The whole series adds up to only about 20 minutes, or they can pick and choose which ones they need to watch - each video is only a few minutes long. It would be very difficult for me to replicate this level of detail in a post.

Please let me know if there are any areas of confusion or specific questions that come back.
