TXS0102: TXS0102 as a Buffer

Hi Team,

We are planning to use TXS0102DQE as a buffer to transmit UART signals to one power domain(board) to another power domain (board). Both domains are powered by 3.3V supply, but from from two different 3.3V buck converters (two different boards).

Please share your feedback on the reliability of the below scheme.

Hey Selvaraj,

Your image isn't coming through. However, the TXS0102 wont act as a buffer since it provides no drive strength of its own. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it. I'd recommend the SN74AXC2T245 device for this application.
