TXB0304: Alternative with lower I/O driver requirement

Part Number: TXB0304

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer is using the TXB0304 on their design but  later found out that the driver on one side of the level traslator can not drive the required 3mA to flip the TXB0304.

Is there another device that has a lower driver requirement at least <1mA, preferably one with the same footprint?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Art,

No, there's nothing pin-to-pin compatible that will do that.

The best solution for a low-strength driver is to use a direction controlled translator instead of an auto-bidirectional translator.  Do you have any details on the voltages and speeds required?

Are the two devices physically near each other (on the same board) or is there a connector/transmission line involved?
