Note: this is a prospective question ONLY.

Is there any way to get a TI existing ic e.g. 40110B and have slight modifications made to its circuitry (say output resistors for the LEDs) built in and order this ic or would you have to do another method like a mini circuit board with the ic on it plus the extra parts (resistors in this example) if that is possible for the desired result?

Hi Fred,

Not that I know of. It would be prohibitively expensive for us to make customized ICs for every application.

Are you designing a system that would only have the CD40110B and resistors with no power supply or other circuitry? Usually you would just add the resistors onto your PCB design along with all the other required components (power supply, clock source, etc.).
