TXB0106-Q1: OE connect to VCCA

Part Number: TXB0106-Q1

Hi team,

VCCA=1.8V

VCCB = 3.3V

Connect VCCA to OE pin through 1Mohm resister in series + 4.7pF cap to GND.

Then power up VCCB first, then VCCA.

In this case, VCCA powered up almost same timing as OE. (slight delay due to RC)

Is it OK to configure like this?

I concern about the description in the datasheet as " Keep OE Low Until VccA and VccB are Powered up".

regards,

  • The datasheet says:

    To ensure the high-impedance state of the outputs during power up or power down, the OE input pin […] must not be enabled until VCCA and VCCB are fully ramped and stable.

    If you do not care about the state of the outputs during power up or power down, then you can enable OE earlier.

    Anyway, enabled it shortly after VCCA is no problem.

  • Hi Shinji,

    I would avoid using an RC directly with the OE pin since you have to maintain the input transition rate spec which is hard to do in this configuration.
