CD74HCT4024: Part marking clarification

Part Number: CD74HCT4024

According to the website, the part marking for the CD74HCT4024M should be "HCT4024M".  We've found some parts in the bin that have the marking, "88AYCHKG4".  I understand the G4 means NiPdAu.

Is this a valid part marking for the CD74HCT4024?

If so, what do the other pieces of the marking indicate?

Thank you.

Bill

  • Hey Bill,

It sounds like your reading the lot trace code (LTC) rather than the part number. We can't release the exact meaning of all parts of the LTC, however I can say that it allows us to track a device back to a particular wafer lot when we have a return.

For the CD74HCT4024M, we would expect to see a TI logo in the top left corner of the device, followed by the LTC, then underneath that you'd see HCT4024M.
