SN74AVC4T245: Pull-Up resistor on OE_ pin

Part Number: SN74AVC4T245

Hello,

About the pull-up resistor between OE_ and Vcc, SN74AVC4T245 datasheet says minimum value is determined by the current-sinking capability of the driver.

However, the datasheet does not specify VIL(max) of OE_.

How can users calculate minimum pull-up resistor?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • The VIL values for the data inputs and DIR are equal, so you can assume that OE has the same characteristics.

Anyway, that sentence is not useful because it is unlikely that you would need a small resistor because you wanted to switch OE at a high frequency. A typical value is 10 kΩ.

If you do not care about the state of the I/Os during power up, you can connect OE directly to GND.
