We are using part numbers SN74AVC8T245 & SN74LVC8T245 in a new design to perform voltage translation in the following cases.

Case 1: +1.8V input to 3.3V output

Case 2: +3.3V input to 1.8V output

For each of the cases:

What is the maximum data rate (Worst Case) which you could drive signals through a SN74AVC8T245 translator?

What is the maximum data rate (Worst Case) which you could drive signals through a SN74LVC8T245 translator?

I have no exact answer to your actual question, but a faster device would be the SN74AXC8T245, or SN74AUC244 for unidirectional downtranslation.

Hi Go,

As Clemens alluded to, there is not an exact answer mainly due to the fact we don't spec max data rate. However, as he mentioned if fasted speed is desired then you can use his recommendations. Otherwise, its likely the AVC device can only do ~320 mbps and the LVC device ~ 200 mbps in that configuration.
