SN74LVC2G14: What is the VT+ range when VCC=5V?

Part Number: SN74LVC2G14
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV1T04, SN74AHCT1G04

Hi team,

My customer is using SN74LVC2G14. The device is powered by 5V and the input signal is from a MCU whose I/O voltage is 3.3V/0V. But we noticed in below datasheet, it only states VT+ range when VCC=4.5V. As customer's MCU high level output 3.3V is very close to 3.1V but its VCC=5V, so we want to know what is the VT+ range when VCC=5V. Thanks.

Best regards,

Wayne

  • The typical threshold is below 3.3 V, but this is not guaranteed. LVC devices cannot be reliably used to shift voltages from 3.3 V to 5 V. You would need a device with TTL-compatible inputs like the SN74AHCT1G04, or an actual level shifter like the SN74LV1T04
