SN74GTL2014: Vref input lower than 0.5V

Part Number: SN74GTL2014

Hi,

I’d like to know when the Bside Vref lower than 0.5V(off state) but the VCC still in power on state. What’s the voltage A output?

  • Hi Jim,

I can't guarantee operation outside the datasheet specs.

That being said, VREF controls one input to an opamp on each channel, setting the switching thresholds. Here's a plot of the values of VREF and the associated thresholds:

I would expect the output at Ax to be high, regardless of the value at Bx if VREF is held at 0V. The output of the opamp should be very low at this point, and it's buffered through CMOS logic, so it would be driven to the rail at the output.
