SN74LVC257A: Need TI device to beat MC74AC257

Hi expert,

My customer used MC74AC257, and customer very care about the difference between tPLH and tPHL, for example, in MC74AC257 datasheet, tPLH type is 5.0 and tPHL type is 6.0. For customer, the smaller difference is better. I promote SN74LVC257A to customer and it has similar performance with MC74AC257 after test. So could you promote another device that could meet customer's requirement? Thanks!

    Hello,

    We don't have any parts with guaranteed identical delays at the output. There will always be a difference between the rising and falling edge.  Even if the customer finds a part that has identical values, that won't hold true across all PVT variations.

    There are clocking solutions that specify this type of variation -- but nothing in the standard logic portfolio.
